CACE is an unincorporated group run by Adrian Whitehead and Bryony Edwards. We currently are self-funding this work and all staff work in a volunteray capacity.
We are currently raising funds for four main projects:
- a national roadshow to send a member from CACE and our partnering organisations to meet with councillors, council staff, and community climate groups from around Australia. Covering basic costs without wages is around $2,500 for 7 days of work depending on the local in Australia and accommodation options available.
- an educational and monitoring package both online and face to face to help guide councils in their climate emergency response. This package would provide training for all people involved in an emergency response from councillors to the CEO, from officers to the community. We have secured $150,000 in-kind support from a online education company wishing and need additional funds to develop the package and pilot the program.
- funding for a permanent full-time campaign position to simply deal with the ongoing work our campaign has generated.
- funding for the a second full-time administration position to track the ongoing declarations around the world. This work is currently being done by two CEDAMIA volunteers whose time would be better spent in campaigning or research and strategy work.
If you are interested in donating and require tax deductible status we can arrange auspicing through the Sustainable Living Foundation.
