NSW council candidate climate emergency survey results

Council elections will be held in newly amalgamated councils in NSW on 9 Sept 2017.

We selected five council areas for candidate surveys based on several factors. The councils were:
  • Snowy Monaro (includes Jindabyne)
  • Central Coast (includes Gosford)
  • Bathurst (includes Bathurst)
  • Parramatta (includes Parramatta)
  • Cumberland (adjacent to Parramatta)

The candidates that had provided email addresses to the NSW Electoral Commission were emailed a link to a survey with a code that ensured only the specified candidate answered the questions. In some of the LGAs only about half of the candidates had provided email addresses.

The results are below for five of the councils, Bathurst, Central Coast, Cumberland, Parramatta and Snowy Monaro.
